Inside CCS is a recruitment site for the College for Creative Studies. Before Responsive Design was invented, I implemented the application in Flash/ActionScript 3 with the concept in mind.

The top navigation is fixed to the top right corner, while the main menu is fixed on the left. A number of columns for the main gallery is calculated on the fly at the initial load or when the browser is resized. There is a looping video running in the background which stretches to fill the browser and changes for each section.

The main gallery showcases students’ work in an image or a video format. They each come in 3 sizes: thumbnail, gallery and full screen. In full screen mode, the site displays content at maximum to fit the screen and automatically loop through all of them. The timing and and the content are easily configurable through an XML.
